Originally released in 2005 via n5MD, "Giving up the Ghost" is about hope and the ability to keep moving forward. Loss and sadness are balanced with feelings of transcendence and fragility. Threaded emotions and evolving rhythms seemingly transmit an aura of pure sonic ambiance. Warm analogue frequencies cycle around reflective moods while skittering beats continue to expand throughout the inherent mangling of electrical wires. I bought the original CD when it was released however had to have this also for the quality package, beautiful extra tracks and to stream on BC . This is one of the most hauntingly beautiful albums of all time. Hooked me in right away and I have followed this wonderful music from Lee and his colleagues ever since. Probably has to be in my top ten ambient albums. A really stunning album. thirdsystem
